Film Making

Note: in this course we use computers on which only UG-students are able to log in. Others should take their own laptop and have a private subscription for Adobe Creative Cloud. Please bring your own headphones.

Have you always wanted to make a film? In 10 lessons we will work together towards the realization of your (first) film. Making films has never been so accessible! Where you used to need an expensive camera or prestigious education, nowadays everyone has the means to make a film.

In this course you will get started with the basic principles of film making. In 10 lessons we will go through different facets  of film, such as: camera, light, audio, editing, direction and script. Supplemented with what you may need. We will be doing a lot, but we will also be introduced to some film theory, so that you learn to substantiate why you make certain choices.

In this course you will have the opportunity to start a new project, or work on your existing plans if you are already at a further stage. We will find out together how far and which topics we will explore, and I will do my best to adapt the course to your wishes.
