Belly Dancing can be done at all levels, from swinging hips to performing arts festivals. It is an ancient lively dance, also called Raqs Sharqi or Oriental Dance.
Beginners: This 10-week course is for anyone who wants to experience joy in dance and movement, and would like to get to know Oriental music. During class you develop body awareness, physical strength, agility and rhythm. You will learn several basic movements and you will be encouraged to improvise. We vary with different types of music, dance forms and rhythms. Finally of course study a short, fixed choreography.
Advanced: Requirement: participation in the beginners group.
