Usva 101 x EPU: The Future of the American Two-party System

This November, the people of the United States are expected, yet again, to choose between two presidential candidates. Where some people give their endless support to Donald Trump, others endorse Kamala Harris, who might become the first female president of the United States.

In between are the ones who think neither options are viable, including people who will end up voting for who they deem ‘the lesser evil.’ Then there are those with no interest in politics; those that will vote for their favorite rapper; and many more. With so many different people living in the United States, with such widely varying needs and interests, why are there only two candidates they can choose from? Is this a well-functioning system? And how long will it last?

These are questions that will be asked during the Usva 101 discussion on the two-party system. There will be room for questions from the audience!
