Join us for an exciting graphic design course, where you’ll learn the fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Over the course of 10 lessons, each lasting 2 hours, we’ll dive into these powerful design softwares.
In our InDesign lessons, we’ll explore how to create captivating designs for magazines, flyers, newspapers, ebooks, and more. You’ll become familiar with the different tools available, learn about the distinctions between print and digital publications, and discover how to incorporate external files seamlessly. We’ll also focus on font usage, paragraph formatting, and overall layout design.
During the Photoshop lessons, we’ll introduce you to the world of pixel graphics editing. This versatile software is perfect for photo retouching, creating brush illustrations, applying textures, and designing simple layouts with text. You’ll become skilled at navigating the layer system, exploring various editing techniques, and manipulating images with effects and textures.
In the Illustrator lessons, you’ll unlock the potential of vector graphics editing. This software is ideal for logo and icon design, vector illustrations, typography, and creating other vector-based designs such as tote bags and stickers. We’ll delve into the different illustration tools, learn about the distinction between vector and pixel images, and discover the shape editor for geometric designs. We’ll also explore color theory, composition, and depth.
In the final class of the course, we’ll bring everything together by combining the three software programs. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills from Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to create integrated designs that showcase your creativity.
This class is starting from the base, which means if you’re a beginner looking to explore the world of graphic design, this course will equip you with the fundamental knowledge necessary to excel in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. No prior knowledge of the softwares is required, and you will have the possibility of working on our computers, from the Multimedia room. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own laptop if you prefer. Join us for an immersive learning experience and hopefully help you to develop your creative potential.
This course starts on Tuesday 13 January at 10.00 and will be 10 weeks in a row on the same day and time. The course will take place in the Media Studio in Usva.
